Self-awareness is to focus on what you are doing and how your actions can affect others. It is to be aware of your thoughts, actions and emotions. It is also to recognise your strengths and weaknesses; knowing what you are good at and what you struggle with will enable you to become a better person and excel in life. You can also use your own self-awareness to help others to also be mindful of their actions and help them to become a better person.

In my everyday life, I use all of the ASPIRE values to help me for example, when buying something in a shop, I show respect by using my manners. Being treated with kindness and respect can add value to somebody’s day.  In school, it is really important to be aware of yourself; this can help you correct poor behaviour and prevent further issues.
