King’s Leadership Academy Liverpool Wins Regional “Trust Benefit School Award” at the 2025 Edurio Awards

Liverpool, October 2025 — King’s Leadership Academy Liverpool has been officially recognised in the 2025 Edurio Awards, receiving the prestigious Regional “Trust Benefit School Award” for the North West.

This honour celebrates schools where membership of a Trust brings tangible value to everyday school life — where collaboration, shared values, and a powerful sense of belonging positively impact staff, students, and families.

Across the entire North West region, only one secondary and one primary school received this distinction. King’s Liverpool stood out for the strength of its community culture and the benefits its staff and families feel from belonging to The Great Schools Trust.

The award is based on national survey data from the 2024/25 academic year, recognising schools where trust membership contributes significantly to wellbeing, professional growth, and overall school success.

Principal's Statement

“I am incredibly proud of our staff team. This award is a reflection of our people-centred approach to leadership — where every decision starts with our staff and the culture we create together. Putting people first has always been at the heart of what we do, and this recognition shows the power of that ethos in action.

Our staff are the beating heart of King’s Liverpool, and this achievement belongs to them. I am also deeply grateful to The Great Schools Trust for the unwavering support, guidance, and belief that have enabled our school to succeed.

I would also like to personally thank every leader who has consistently prioritised our People-Centred Leadership (PCL) documents, ensuring that staff wellbeing, professional growth, and authentic leadership remain at the forefront of everything we do. Your commitment to these principles has shaped our culture and helped make King’s Liverpool a school where people truly matter.”

Mr R Cordon, Principal, King’s Leadership Academy Liverpool

The award highlights the collective strength and vision of The Great Schools Trust, whose leadership, professional development programmes, and moral purpose have created an environment where both staff and students thrive.

Digital badges and certificates will be shared soon, with plans for local press coverage and an in-person awards celebration later this year.

This is a proud moment for the King’s Liverpool community — celebrating the warmth, dedication, and excellence that define the school, and the powerful partnership it shares with The Great Schools Trust.
